What is Love?
Love is not romance.
Love is not flowers and chocolate.
Love is not feelings of giddiness.
Love is strength through weakness.
Love is standing with someone
whose pain is unbearable.
whose pain is unbearable.
Love is tears from a broken heart, wiped away.
Love is soft words for a beaten heart and body.
Love is the words "Come Unto Me" spoken
to those who are unloved and who feel unlovable.
to those who are unloved and who feel unlovable.
Love is Christ, calling to each of us,
to leave our sins, our prejudices,
our heartbreaks, and our intolerance,
and instead to reach a hand up to Christ
and down to those who need our help.
to leave our sins, our prejudices,
our heartbreaks, and our intolerance,
and instead to reach a hand up to Christ
and down to those who need our help.

Thanks for that wonderful message and thought. It is important that we not be deceived about what love is, else we won't be able to love truly. And, as you point out so well, Christ taught us and showed us the way.
So true. Thank you Julia!
