Sigh.
I want to be a fun mom, ready to meet the day with my kids and help them enjoy exciting new things. But today, I only want more sleep. I don't want to be brilliant. I don't want to be funny. I don't want to change the world.
I just want a full night of sleep, with no interruptions and no one waking me up. I don't want to have to get anyone up for anything, and I really don't want to have a pump alarm wake me up, or Maddy to throw up.
Needless to say, today is not that day. Instead I was up at 3:00 am changing Maddy's sheets after she threw up. Then I was up at 4:15 am with Maddy, trying to get her back to sleep. At 6:30 I gave up singing to her and snuggling her to get her back to sleep, and "got up." It is now almost 8:00 am, and I still would give anything for a good nap.
Sigh.

I'm crossing my fingers for a nap in your future.
Me too! We will see what happens.
